What’s therapy with me like? My therapeutic approach combines a blend of DBT, IFS, and ACT, among others. DBT provides teachable skills & acronyms that clients can implement in and outside of session, especially with overstimulation/feeling overwhelmed and regulating emotions! IFS allows clients to view themselves as having many parts and encourages us to support all parts while also unburdening and healing the parts of us that need a little extra love, like our protectors! ACT is one of my favorites because it allows us to visualize our values and move forward with making changes in our lives that coincide with our values.

How I’ve kept learning… I make it a point to consistently seek out opportunities to learn and expand my knowledge both for clients and myself. I’ve enjoyed learning through attending mental health seminars, receiving supervision, reading books, listening to podcasts, or through engaging with my own life experience and mental health journey.

Who do I work with? I work with individuals 16 and up. I primarily work with individuals managing anxiety, OCD, burnout, ADHD symptoms, and life transitions. I also enjoy working with individuals that are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

My impacting identities are… I am a bisexual white female and a Marylander through and through, having only gone to school in Maryland for my primary years, undergrad and graduate school. I am also consistently working on prioritizing my mental health and values!

I feel allied/aware/part of/informed/knowledgeable about… I am part of/knowledgeable about the LGBTQIA2S+ and the neurodivergent communities. I feel allied/knowledgeable about polyamory, ENM, and kink.

I am the best fit for a client who…is willing to explore patterns that may no longer fit them or their values and is open to humor in session!

I am not a good fit for a client who… is looking for an immediate solution or wants very structured sessions.

What makes me unique? I strongly value authenticity, I firmly believe in meeting my clients where they’re at, and I approach work with every client depending on their needs/wants out of therapy. As someone who has spent several years in therapy for mental health, I believe I bring an increased level of understanding and empathy with this experience. One of my more unique skills is crisis intervention!
