Currently accepting new clients!

What’s therapy with me like? I provide person-centered therapy, meaning that I will aim to put myself in your shoes non-judgmentally. This doesn’t mean that I am going to be a passive, blank face on a screen. I will also challenge you at times, and add structure to sessions with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a collection of mindfulness practices.

Most of my experience has been supporting folks with anxiety, depression, and/or post-traumatic stress, along with folks who use drugs. My approach involves supporting people in feelings identification, the application of coping skills, and teaching folks how to create mental space, to be able to dream and idealize what they would like for their lives.I specialize in Harm Reduction, especially as it applies to substance use, sex work, and HIV care. I also appreciate any opportunity to support people in finding moments of or opportunities for queer joy and/or identity exploration.

My therapeutic preference is for creative, humanistic, and strengths-based approaches. I honor the opportunity to support people in identifying and changing thought patterns and behaviors to align with their goals.

How I’ve kept learning… Webinars, virtual accountability groups, self-paced courses, and conferences. I’ve been actively seeking out and engaging in opportunities to learn more about dismantling the characteristics of white supremacy culture that exist in my own learned behaviors.

Who do I work with? I support adults who are curious about changing their experiences with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use through individual therapy and group therapy.

My impacting identities are… As a white woman who has lived a life with privileges, it requires me to make sure that I continue to self-assess and learn to be proactive about avoiding causing harm, as much as possible.

I feel allied/aware/informed/knowledgeable about… people who use drugs, sex workers, and LGBTQ+ populations.

I am the best fit for a client who… is ready to be vulnerable and looking for a provider to create an environment for them to explore goals and identities both bravely and safely.

I am not a good fit for a client who… is looking for someone to just tell them what to do. I believe that each person is the leading expert in their own experiences and I want to support you in discovering the answers within yourself.

What makes me unique? I focus on maintaining a relaxed, non-judgmental approach to care. I’m ready to hold space for wherever you are on a given day and help to create a structure to support you wherever you’d like to go.

The Practical Stuff

What insurances do I accept? I am currently taking out of network clients only as I wait to be paneled with Evernorth/Cigna and Carefirst BCBS.

Do I offer telehealth or in person sessions? Both – I have a preference for in-person or a hybrid approach where possible.

The Fun Stuff

Did you know… Prior to social work, I was a bartender for about 5 years.

Any pets? Roscoe (Large Goldendoodle). He is also a therapy dog with Pets on Wheels! He goes to the library for kids to practice reading to him, and also visits an elementary school once a month.
