Emily Martin is a C-IAYT yoga therapist. She obtained her master of science degree in yoga therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She has personally struggled with bouts of depression, and the mindfulness aspect of yoga has allowed her to overcome some difficult periods in her life. In many ways she credits the practice and it’s underlying philosophy for saving her life and giving her the hope of a better future, not only for herself, but for all people.
Emily's personal mission in life is to serve others, and empower them to reach their highest potential. She feels that yoga therapy can be beneficial on many different levels, (mind, body, and spirit) and everyone has something to gain from it’s various tools. She specializes in helping people overcome mental illness, emotional issues, and stress relief with the tools of meditation, yogic philosophy, breath work, and physical postures. She aims to help clients find a deeper sense of contentment and inner peace so that they can lead a life that is truly meaningful and fulfilling.
