What’s therapy with me like? My main clinical focuses include working with children, adolescents, and young adults, and the LGBTQIA community. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Intersectional Feminist Therapy, and Cultural Relational Therapy.

I appreciate the foundation of CBT and what it has to offer, including various skills and psychoeducation about how the brain interacts with our behavior and its environment. Intersectional feminist theory is the perspective I use to understand how the world works in relation to gender diversity and its interaction with the environment and other important identities. Cultural relational therapy is powerful because it helps me understand the world through culture and interpersonal interactions, valuing the importance of our relationships with others.

How I’ve kept learning… I’ve been keeping up with various trainings from the Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service and Education (BHWISE) fellowship, exploring relevant continuing education opportunities for the future, and updating myself on news and scientific developments in the field.

Who do I work with? Children, adolescents, and adults; individuals and families.

My impacting identities are… I am lesbian and mixed-race.

I feel allied/aware/part of/informed/knowledgeable about… LGBTQIA+ Community, kink-allied community, mixed-race community.

I am the best fit for a client who… is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community; is a child, adolescent or young adult; is neurodivergent; is suffering from depression and/or anxiety.

I am not a good fit for clients who… are racist, transphobic, or homophobic. I currently do not work with clients who want to focus on substance use.

What makes me unique? I am a mixed-race, lesbian, cisgender woman. I live the techniques I practice in therapy, including setting boundaries, mindfulness, and self-care. I actively attend my own therapy so I can maintain balance and peace in my life.

The Practical Stuff

What insurances do I accept? I am in network with Cigna/Evernorth. I’m in the process of being paneled with Carefirst/BCBS and should be able to accept it in October.

What are my out-of-network rates? As a licensed clinician, my rates are $180 for an initial intake and $150 for subsequent 53+-minute sessions. Find more details about my out-of-network rates here.

Do I offer telehealth or in person sessions? I offer both telehealth and in person sessions! I prefer working in person for children and adolescents.

The Fun Stuff

Did you know… I have two rabbits, Java and Moose, who like to jump into the camera occasionally!

Any pets? Besides my rabbits, I have two cats, Scout and Gali.
