Grief Cafe for Mental Health Clinicians: Palestine & Israel Conflict
November 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeIf you feel this would benefit you, please join us for a processing discussion regarding the continued and evolving conflict in Palestine and Israel, and the reverberating impacts. This Grief Café (modeled after Climate Cafés) is meant to be an open, respectful, and confidential online processing group where mental health clinicians can come together to process and share responses, reactions, reflections, and resources related to our roles as Mental Health Clinicians helping others and ourselves to thoughtfully process the ongoing and escalating conflict in Palestine and Israel, and the reverberations across the world and communities. This event aims to foster open dialogue, share experiences, and support one another in navigating the complexities of this conflict. This event is for any mental health practicing clinician or clinical student who is in need of community and healing, regardless of race, creed, or faith.
Please note this is not space for discussions of politics or solutions. While we recognize there are a spectrum of different feelings and opinions around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, we hope to create an environment to collectively process and explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences that impact us personally and professional rather than actively pursuing solutions or trying influence other participants to any conclusion or side. While we recognize that action, solutions, and collective movement are imperative to achieve the anti-oppressive communities we are looking for, this particular group is intentionally structured to be a space for processing grief and trauma in order to further refuel us for our justice efforts outside of this group.
